There you are sprinting for a dropshot and suddenly it feels like someone “shot you in the leg..” That is the classic description players give for “tennis leg,” a tear of the calf muscle that is most common in 30-50 year old players who don’t stretch prior to play. So the key is get a good 10 minute or more cardio warm up before you play and stretch after the warm up/before you start to play. (Take a look at our stretching videos). That can reduce your chances of tearing your calf. If you do get “tennis leg” then visit one of our team for an evaluation because the sooner you get appropriately treated the sooner you will be back on the court.
